Journal published by Cracow Tertium Society for the Promotion of Language Studies
The Tertium Linguistic Journal was established on 17 March 2016 at the annual General Membership meeting of the Cracow Tertium Society for the Promotion of Language Studies. It took place in Krakow, Poland during the 9th national linguistic conference (Language in the Third Millennium IX) organized on the 20th anniversary of the Society's foundation.
Our journal offers its authors and readers a profile which reflects the spectrum of conferences and publications of Cracow Tertium Society so far. Among its statutory aims has always been openness to diverse theoretical approaches and to perspectives typical of specific modern language studies. We are interested in the research of language in communication primarily from the synchronic, broadly socio-cognitive perspective, including cognitive linguistics, linguistic pragmatics and anthropological linguistics.
Submitted articles are grouped into six thematic sections: theoretical linguistics, varieties and registers of Polish, translation studies, intercultural communication/ anthropological linguistics, semiotics and applied linguistics. The articles are expected to be in Polish or English (minimum length of the full-length article is 6000 words). We also publish special issues and book reviews, as well as conference reports.
You can submit an original, previously unpublished article after registering and logging in as a user at the website address listed above. All submissions undergo a double-blind review.
After the article has been accepted, the author should enter their personal data (including a short biography) and current metadata of their article. There are no charges for the publication. In case of doubt please contact us at: [email protected]
Suggestions for books to be reviewed need to addressed to our book review editor (through our general contact email address as well).
The journal is now indexed by important international indexing bases.
This publication is supported by the ELM Scholarly Press and CEES.
