About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Our journal offers its authors and readers a profile which reflects the spectrum of conferences and publications of Cracow Tertium Society so far. Among its statutory aims  has always been openness to diverse theoretical approaches and to perspectives typical of specific modern language studies. We are interested in the research of language in communication primarily from the synchronic, broadly socio-cognitive perspective, including cognitive linguistics, linguistic pragmatics and anthropological linguistics.

Submitted articles are grouped into six thematic sections: contextual linguistics (socio-pragmatics), varieties and registers of Polish, translation studies, intercultural communication/ anthropological linguistics, semiotics and foreign language teaching. The articles are expected to be in Polish or English. We also publish  special issues and book reviews as well as conference reports,

Peer Review Process

Tertium Linguistic Journal strictly enforces the double blind review policy.
